Happy New Year!

Tom blue shirt With Christmas a distant memory, our Spring brochure brings you an exciting mix of cutting edge drama, film, literary and musical delights. We are working closely with a wide range of local artists, community groups and professional performers from across Ireland and internationally, to bring your cultural experiences that are inclusive of our community, ages and backgrounds.

Apart from the charismatic entertainers and events we bring you, Nenagh Arts Centre is home to many local groups who hold weekly/monthly classes in the here. In 2016, just short of 18,000 people enjoyed our facilities and we are always open to assisting your club or group by providing rooms at very competitive hourly rates.

2017 will see the launch of our new purpose equipped dance studio. We have beginner classes in Hip Hop, Ballet and Belly Dancing, all taught by trained and inspired professionals. Classes will begin in February, see more details on our website. For families, we will continue to bring regular theatre shows that will enchant and expand the imagination of our younger audiences.

Our film club returns with a varied collection of the best in Irish and world cinema on Wednesday evenings, with a great value admission of €5. Don’t forget to pick up our film loyalty card at the box office – once you have attended three film nights your fourth visit is free!

On behalf of the staff and myself, I would like to thank Tipperary County Council and Tipperary Arts Office for their invaluable support for your local theatre over the past year. Our Chairperson Tom Ryan and the voluntary board of Nenagh Arts Centre have tirelessly provided me with vital support throughout the past year. And most importantly, thank you – our audiences – for continuing to make Nenagh Arts Centre a place where people count – we couldn’t have done it without you.

It is my wish and hope that we will share more magical experiences throughout 2017!
