A collaborative exhibition of paintings and poetry by twin siblings
Denis Kelly and Mary Pooley.
This is an exhibition inspired by the Brigid 1500 celebrations. It is also a homage to the memory of their mother Bridget. The exhibition consists of seven paintings inspired by the St Brigid’s cross motif, where these paintings play with perceptions of reality, while complimenting and responding to the poetry on display.
Celebrate St. Brigid’s Day with an unforgettable evening of songs, stories and reflections from award-winning performing artist and Tipperary woman, Edel Meade. Noted for her stunning voice and mesmerising live performances, Edel will present a rich tapestry of music and anecdotes to honour Brigid, Gobnait and Sheela-na-gig, celebrating the Divine Feminine and reflecting on how ancient wisdom can inform our present and future.
Calling all artists working and living in North Tipperary. We would love to welcome you to Nenagh Arts Centre the first Friday of every month for an Artists Coffee Meet-up at 10am.
The coffee meetup is an opportunity to meet other artists in the area, connect and share ideas in a relaxed setting. It is also an opportunity to discuss artist's objectives, goals and needs.
PUCKED tells the story of the young and ambitious Matty Daly. Immersed in the GAA from birth, Matty has one dream and one dream only, to play on his senior team. When Matty finally gets called up, we join him as he learns the hard way that playing senior isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be. PUCKED tackles issues such as self- confidence, individualism, masculinity and ambition with humour and energy, all the while celebrating the greatest sport on earth, hurling.
