Brotherhood Part 1 of 2 is a 92-page black and white graphic novel set during the violent Irish War of Independence. The book has a full-colour cover, contains 76 pages of story, and is intended for a mature audience.
Macdara, a young Irish teen, is dragged into the raging Irish War of Independence when he is accidentally involved in the death of a British “Black and Tan” constable. To cover his tracks, he and his friends, Colm, Ciara, and Seamus, form the Brotherhood.
With a rich cast of characters, rural Irish setting, and sharp commentary on the myths of heroism and the cost of freedom, Brotherhood offers a fresh and original perspective on a pivotal moment in Irish history.

Hailing from Tipperary, Ireland, the setting for Brotherhood, Seán Hogan lives in Helsinki, Finland.He works in animation as a Storyboard Artiston projects for the likes of Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, and Apple TV+.His previous books include Rabbit and Paul (2015) and Project Crossroads (2016).
